Memories Pt. 2

I just went into the kitchen to get my a cup of water. I usually keep a cup by my bed and drink it through the night. As I was in the kitchen I smelled something. I'm not exactly sure what it was. Nothing bad, but it made me recall a memory, or rather memories. I find it funny how certain smells stay with you forever. Like I still remember what the nursing home smelled like when visiting my great grandpa, I remember the smells of my grandmas old house, I remember the smell of the farm, and so on and so on. This particular smell reminded me of the house my cousin used to live in, he's my cousin but I call him my brother cause we are or were rather so close. I used to sleep at his house more then I did my own. And this smell reminded me of that house. Weird to me how quickly something like that can come back to you. There are a few others I could give an example of haha, but you would either puke or think I'm quite weird. Anyway, its late and I have to get up early tomorrow morning. Talk to ya'll later, adios.

Memories

I was standing around at work today waiting on my last client or two when I did something unusual. Backround info first. We have a little dish that we keep candy in at work like most places do now a days. We always have the red and white peppermints as well as other fruity candies. I'm not a bit peppermint fan, but when I just really have to have something in my mouth I will eat one. Well it was one of those moments, so I grabbed on and stuck it in my mouth. Just then the only thing that I can think about is where in the world did my life go. Two minutes ago I was in first grade having a Christmas party at school with all my friends. Now I'm about to turn 21 and get married. Where has my life gone. It always seems like it takes forever for those birthdays to come then all of a sudden one day you stop and realize that 1/3 of your life is gone already. That is if your lucky to live that long. Peppermint candy canes, that was the only thing that I could think about. We would always see who could make the sharpest end on them. Stupid kids. Yesterday I was 18 and tomorrow I'll be 30. Sad and depressing but so is life. Ok I'm done rambling for now, its off to bed. Hope everyone sleeps/slept well. Talk to ya'll later. Adios.

31 More Days

Call me morbid but I just love this weather. The rain makes me feel so at peace. Dont get me wrong I love the sun and being outside...but the rain is just so...calming.

Well I had a pretty good night last night. After work I went to watch two of my favorite girls play volleyball for a church league. We won the first one and just barely lost the second one. They almost had me play, we probably would have one if I did...HAHA, yeah right. We would have gotten creamed. I suck at volleyball. I'm waiting for summer when the churches start the softball league. Thats going to be fun. I went and bought me a new ball glove and have been playing with my little sister to get it broken in.

Well after church tonight we are going to adress all of our invitations and stamp them and then send them off. Wooo Hoooo....31 more days until the big day. Nervous....no...excited, totally.

Oh, a friend from church asked me if I would like to play golf with him on Tuesdays. I jumped at the chance too but now I'm a little worried. He's pretty good and I havent played in about two years. First impressions are always the best so if I suck he probably wont want to play with me again. Oh well I guess.

Well today is supposed to be the last day of the rain for a while so it looks like I'll be playing outdoors a lot the next couple of weeks. Thats always fun. Well I'm off for now. Talk to ya'll later. Adios.

Rain Rain

Rain Rain please come today, fill that lake up right away. Woo hoo...Only 4 more feet and it will be at fool pool. That is so exciting me to me. We are expected to have about 4 days of rain this week too so I'm praying that it gets filled up.

Ok lets see...yesterday was our latest wedding shower. Woah, we got a ton of stuff. We now have I believe everything that we need, except for that 72 inch plasma screen T.V. so if any of you feel obligated to buy me something...there ya go. Anyway, lets see, we had a pretty good turn out. There were more there than what I thought was going to show up. And we ended up getting quite the assortment of gifts. Things that I never expected people to buy. Not that I'm complaining. We played a few games, I wasnt too sure about two of them. But the third one was pretty cute. 20 questions about me asked to my fiancee. For everyone she got wrong, she had to put a piece of gum in her mouth. For everyone she got right they thought it would be cute for me to put one in my mouth. We ended up tied with 10/10, of course the only way to tie. Duh.

Friday I went to a concert with some friends from church. I thought it was going to be something totally different than what it was. At first I didnt like it. Now two days later its starting to sink in and my attitude is changing a little and I'm starting to like it a little more. This guys name is Riley Armstrong. He's a Christian Comedian Singer. You can look him up on the internet or download his songs or buy his cd's whatever your thing is. He has like 3 albums recorded I think. I havent heard any of them, but I doubt that they will be anything like seeing him in person. Wild and Wacky and full of energy. I kept thinking of my sister and brother-in-law the entire time I was there watching him. I dont know something about him made me think of them. Not in a bad way though.

I've started to read my Bible a lot more lately. I've been reading from the very beginning and working my way to the end, but also I'm reading Revelations, my favorite book. Why...cause its wild.

Ok so honestly who is ready for The DaVinci Code...oo ooo oooo me me me I am I am. And the Academy Award goes to....(drum roll please).....Tom Hanks...(Applause!!!) What is funny about this is...the character that they have chosen to play the parts in this movie....I was thinking they would do awesome for those roles while I was reading the book. And no I hadnt heard anything about the movie....I thought that was pretty cool/freaky.

Hear Ye Hear Ye

Well its May. Just another month to me. Now if it was next month that would be a different story. But it is that much closer to the day. As of today I have 41 more days left, thats counting today. So lets see...did you have a good weekend? I know that I did. All of that wonderful rain...mmm mmmm, fill up that lake I'm ready. I went and watched the movie, The Sentinel. Not bad, not bad at all. Premise is that there is a mole in the Secret Service. It was predictable but it was still very good. So many movies coming out that I want to see. Mission Impossible 3, Click, and of course The DaVinci Code....woo wooo wooooo...cant wait for that one.


Kashi...you heard of it?...Its a brand of foods, I've mostly just seen it in cereal, but I have seen a few snack bars of it. It is food that is natural grains. Mmmm mmmm...it is so good. You ought to go to the grocery store and pick you up a box and try it. There are a few different kinds out there, the best one I've found so far is the clusters, but thats just my own opinion.

Well lets see...back when I first started this blog I wrote and entry called, "Mock" I believe. Well here lately I've been doing the opposite of what I said not to do in that entry. The thought is...we tend to mock that which we dont understand. Its true, you can admit it. I admit it. I have been doing it. There have been quite a few things in the past few months that are different too me, and I have been getting angry about it. The only reason I've been getting angry is because I dont fully understand them. I shouldnt be getting angry over it. Its a fault I have. But I am trying my hardest to quit that.

Ok so now what...ooo yes, this Saturday is my next wedding shower. Woo Hoo more presents and cake, Yippie. Muahahahahaha. I think that we are going to be playing a few games at this one, so this one should be a little more fun than the last one was. But I dont know for sure we'll just have to see.

Lets see...what else have I been thinking about...I guess the question should be is what havent I been thinking about. Something that has been on my mind a lot lately, probably because I've been watching a lot of sci-fi movies...but, do you really think that we are alone. Let me give you some figures that I've posted before. So far what we humans know is this: there are over 400 billion galaxies. So lets just guesstimate that there are 9 planets for each galaxy, thats over 4 trillion planets. I think that we are conceited and arrogant to think that we are the only things that God did create or could have created. And gezzz, just think of all that wasted space. Space goes on for eternity. So that means that there are hundreds of trillions of planets. And yet only one species...no way...I dont think that I can swallow that. Now if there is life out there, I dont think that it is time for us to meet them. We are very timid creatures and would be tempted to destroy them. Thats the Earth for ya. Yeah so thats probably the most in depth thing that I've been thinking about lately. Kind of boggles the mind a little. I'm a dreamer and a thinker. Nothing wrong with that.
