Memories

I was standing around at work today waiting on my last client or two when I did something unusual. Backround info first. We have a little dish that we keep candy in at work like most places do now a days. We always have the red and white peppermints as well as other fruity candies. I'm not a bit peppermint fan, but when I just really have to have something in my mouth I will eat one. Well it was one of those moments, so I grabbed on and stuck it in my mouth. Just then the only thing that I can think about is where in the world did my life go. Two minutes ago I was in first grade having a Christmas party at school with all my friends. Now I'm about to turn 21 and get married. Where has my life gone. It always seems like it takes forever for those birthdays to come then all of a sudden one day you stop and realize that 1/3 of your life is gone already. That is if your lucky to live that long. Peppermint candy canes, that was the only thing that I could think about. We would always see who could make the sharpest end on them. Stupid kids. Yesterday I was 18 and tomorrow I'll be 30.
